The free range Turkeys offered by Fillet & Bone have been raised by our trusted local poultry supplier, Adlington. The birds enjoy a high welfare environment and are free to roam in plenty of space, they are also slow-grown and allowed to reach their natural maturity over 22-24 weeks. During their lives, the Turkeys receive a unique oat based feed, developed by Adlington over three generations. This helps to ensure the fat layer stays on the bird during cooking, which in turn keeps the meat moist. Each bird is hung for 7-12 days, to allow the flavour to develop further.
Our belief that this leads to a delicious tasting Turkey is borne out by the fact that Adlington have won a 2 star Great Taste award in 2017 for these free range ‘bronze’ Turkeys.
